Hey everyone,

It has been a few days since I have checked in. Life has been busy with work and a lot going on. I have been so tired that I have literally been asleep by 9pm most evenings! Yesterday, I met someone via work and we got talking. It ended up being that he knew my late father very well. He really spoke highly of him- how he was such a nice man and how he was always smiling!

That was truly his essence. I think one of the most comforting things after my dad’s passing has been that. I have come across lots of people, that I have literally never met before, who have commented on his good character. And I think that is the biggest blessing. My dad was truly a gem- one like no other. I miss him dearly. The last few days, I have had various things to sort out and I would have normally rung my dad and asked his advice. Everytime I realise I can’t just pick up the phone and do that, it stings just a little bit more.

We truly are under this illusion that we have all the time in the world. But we don’t. Use the time we have been given wisely.
