Hey everyone,

It has been a very busy week, with balancing work, university and everything else going on. I can’t complain though. I prefer staying busy. It was actually quite funny, as I had a message from a family friend who I have been trying to arrange to meet up with, and he commented saying ‘you are busier than the president and prime minister.’ That did make me chuckle, but then I thought about it and realised I am always busy. Busy, either working, studying or finding something else I enjoy doing to fill my time. That is how I like it and I have had it the other way, and it is just not in my nature. I have time to just do nothing sometimes too but that is also me being ‘busy’. That is something that does not come naturally to me, but over the years I have learned to factor in some ‘me time.’ This is what I was doing last night after work, and then I fell asleep (which is why I am wide awake at this time).

However, I feel well rested and I actually feel very productive. Sometimes, my brain just works best at 4am, and just as I was typing that, I glanced at the time at the corner of my MacBook and it is exactly 03.59- how odd is that? It seems I have gone off on a tangent here, like always! I am really looking forward to this weekend as I have a few fun things planned. I also have a lot of work to catch up on but hopefully I can get a good balance. I will let you know how that goes! I am proud of myself this week though. I have managed to be productive with my diploma work, in between clinical work and also a few meetings and I have finished my book for January! I have started on my next book. I have set myself a target to read more, as I love it but I never set myself enough time in the day to switch off and actually read. I have also stopped myself from buying anymore books until I finish reading the few I have bought the last few months- I was in Waterstones two days ago and trust me this was difficult!

This month has actually flown by, how is it 24th already! Usually every year I feel like January lasts forever and the month seems to be never ending but this time, it feels like I have blinked and the month has gone by in a flash! I have a few things planned over the next few weeks, so I am actually looking forward to February- which is usually a bit of a dull month usually- apologies for anyone with a birthday in February! It feels good knowing the days are slowly getting longer as well.
