Hey everyone,

I am sitting in a random fast food place in Makkah. It is 13.23 and I feel so hungry since I have been up very early since Fajr (morning prayer) at 4.30am. It is a Saturday and I have already done some gift shopping, FaceTimed my mom and done tawaaf around The Holy Kaaba and some admin.

I love productive days. Unfortunately, lately not many days have been. I have been overtaken by grief that days have passed by where I have spent hours looking into space and thinking of my late father- however, it has felt like seconds.

Grief is a funny thing, and it really is a rollercoaster. Some days you feel like you are on top of the world, having conquered your emotions, and then life shows you that you really are not and you come crashing back down at 150mph.
